DJ Arnaud Le Texier & DJ Menelas
Feat. VJ JF D-Philippot
The two DJs Arnaud Le Texier and Menelas will be warming things up nicely with a French electro set until late, while the VJ artist JF D-Philippot creates the video mood of this crazy party. As the resident DJ of one of the most famous clubs in Paris, The Queen, Arnaud Le Texier launched Safari Electronique in 2004. He decided to settle in London in 2006 and he's been mixing for various clubs & parties such as the Fabric up till now. Inspired by Herbie Hancock, The Orb, Kraftwerk and Pink Floyd, his music is a perfect blend of natural talent and raw flair with a very distinctive music style. Menelas is inspired by jazz, funk, and disco music. He is used to mixing with some of the best DJs such as Carl Cox, Jeff Mills, Arnaud le Texier… In 2007 he launched his own label “Children of Tomorrow”, which experiments with deep and electro house.

“I am here 1.0”
Video exhibition by JF D-Philippot
JF D-Philippot has been working with video images in a very unusual way for more than 10 years. By using the external walls of buildings for his projections, he brings video art to the city. He also works as a V-Jay during live performances or for collaborative works with theaters and dance companies.
He is interested in all the stages that lead to artistic creation. His goal is to go deeper in researches on a digital path by creating interactive works in collaboration with computer programmers.
"I am here 1.0" is a blend of pictures, video-projections and voice soundtracks based on JF D-Philippot 's feelings about the city of Kuala Lumpur. The exhibition is an entirely new art-work especially created for the French Art Festival 2008. The interactivity of the event will be further enhanced with the participation of students from the Faculty of Multimedia Creativity at Limkowing University.
